Started in April 2026 with the idea initially of introducing members to the wonders of making bread at home and dispelling some of the myths that surround the making of both yeasted and sourdough bread.s We hope to look at other types of home baking later on.
The group is currently restricted in size owing to fact that too many cooks just wouldn't fit into the kitchen.
The May 2026 meeting recipe had each member baking half a dozen white/wholemeal mix pita breads. These freeze very well and after a quick warm up in the toaster they're very handy for a quick lunch.
