STOP / LOOK / LISTEN
Learning to identify birds by their song is not always easy, but is so rewarding. Once you have tuned into listening you can hear birds everywhere, even in the noisiest of places, and with practice you will soon be able to name some of them, even if you can’t see them.

Our meetings are usually a local walk on a circuit that starts and ends by Trinity Church in Bradford. The birds we have heard and seen on these walks vary according to the season and include Great, Blue, Coal and Long tailed Tits, Nuthatch, Dunnock, Robin, Wren, Chiffchaff, Sedge Warbler, Goldcrest and Kingfisher.

We are happy to look at all aspects of nature, particularly in the months that the birds are singing less (usually end of July through to January).

We also sometimes venture further afield, and go on longer walks but still close to Bradford.

Why not give it a try? There’s a whole new world of song out there.
